PRODUCTION NOTES:

This film was the result of footage collected between 2010-2012 while K. Kypers was an animation student at the University of the Arts. The first incarnation of the film appeared on YouTube in 2013 as a 9-part series. In 2018, to celebrate Vaschel's 10th birthday, K revisited the footage to make an improved cut of the movie (tighter editing, improved sound, adding music, etc.) for a 10th birthday screening at the Milkweed art gallery space in Sugar Loaf, NY.

Since the filming of Vaschel: Portrait of a Paper Bag, K no longer goes by the name she is referred to in the film and she uses she/her pronouns. This film is a reflection of Vaschel & K's life as it was in 2010-2012.
